There are many types of laying for boards and planks, from the  simple one to geometries with decorations. Each laying system require specific arrangements during installation. But before choosing the geometric pattern you like best, it’s advisable to keep in mind some technical aspects. Did you know that wood floors are subjected to a  natural expansion on the short side? For this reason, in a long narrow corridor the flooring must be laid parallel to the long side. Not only humidity influences a wood floor, light does it as well. The colour of wood naturally changes if exposed to the light due to the oxidation process.

A special design made by installing the pieces of Hungarian laying side by side. It is quite an easy laying. We recommend directing the arrow from the door wall towards the end of the room to obtain the maximum effect. It is suitable for finished and raw hardwoods, linear and with few knots, according to the style of the environment.


Old-fashioned laying pattern, not commonly used now, it is suitable for solid wood and prefinished floors, processed specifically. Contrasting or slightly different colours can be used for the band. Single herringbone, Hungarian herringbone or square-tiles are used for the central rug.


Classic laying style used in Italian mansion houses of the 30’s up to the  70’s. Suitable for a classic ambience to enhance the room style. Direct the sense of the pattern for the door wall towards the end of the room.


It is very similar to the classic single herringbone Pattern but for the elements, which have short sides cut at 45° compared to the long sides. Refer to the laying instructions of the classic herringbone pattern. The type of pattern enhances the rustic-finish, the whitened, the grey and naturalized woods. It gives a contemporary harm to the environment, with a flavor of ancient floors.


It is irregular ship’s deck straight laying pattern. It uses elements with irregular widths and lengths. Made with big-sized elements, with rustic choice and high finish it reaches its maximum splendor and makes the environment unique and warm.


An original laying pattern, suitable for modern-style settings. It is suitable for solid wood or prefinished floorings.
