Thermowood. A wooden core, three times over
Techwood® is the thought-free outdoor wood: strong like Finnish pine fibre, and resistant to any type of damage or stress. It has a high density wooden core, treated only with heat and steam to become more resistant and stable. It is completed with the addition of Polypropylene, a thermoplastic polymer that is water repellent, breathable, extremely inalterable, and with good elasticity. Techwood® TD-212 is a durable choice that does not need much maintenance, and that’s why it is perfect for outdoor floors like stairs, swimming pools, terraces, piers.

NATURAL CHROMATIC VARIATION
The effect of UV rays on Techwood Thermo D-212. Given the nature of the heat-treated wood fibre, Silver decking in particular has the beige tone of newly laid wood, but tends to grey, just like natural wood, when exposed to sunlight.
Colours can vary slightly from those shown in the photo: on the left the product is new, while on the right it has been under the sun’s rays for 6 months. The initial colour of Techwood Thermo D-212 fades slightly during the first 6-12 weeks of exposure to UV rays. The final colour can vary according to the amount of UV rays the product is exposed to.

TREATMENT
ThermoWood Composito is ideal for environments where duration and resistance to atmospheric agents
are called for without the need for maintenance.
ADVICE FOR TREATMENT:
• The plank surface and spaces must be brushes regularly and washed (with water and
mild soap) when necessary.
• Given that the product is not fully waterproof, each stain, for example food, oil or other, must
be removed immediately to prevent colour alterations.
• As ThermoWood is homogeneous in mass, the surface can be smoothed
to eliminate scratches. After smoothing, the treated area will be slightly lighter in colour, but the difference
will disappear after exposure to UV rays and the elements.
• Avoid knocks to keep the surface intact.
SUNDECK THERMOWOOD is a treatment formulated with highly penetrating nanotechnological particles
or protecting ThermoWood Composito. SUNDECK ThermoWood increases the resistance of the treated product to water and oil
preventing the formation of anti-aesthetic and persistent stains caused by
the absorption of oily and dirty substances.
