After last year’s pause caused by the pandemic, Cersaie and Marmomac came back, confirming themselves as international events of primary importance for insiders of the flooring, cladding and bathroom furnishings sectors and the marble sector respectively.

A large number of exhibitors occupied the 15 pavilions in the trade show district of Bologna and 9 pavilions in Verona, offering an unmissable occasion for personal meetings and professional comparison between the launch of novelties and tendency displays.

The presence of Corà Parquet at the two appointments was triple, with welcoming stands and a flow of visitors that went well beyond all expectations.

Cersaie 2021 – Miraggio by Pininfarina

At its Cersaie stand, Corà raised the curtain on the main 2021/22 novelty: the Miraggio Collection designed by Pininfarina Architecture, an internationally famous reality in the design sector.

Using sinuous forms that recall the curves of the most beautiful cars in the world, Miraggio harmoniously and innovatively unites two materials, durmast wood and porcelain stoneware, offering the groundbreaking possibility of creating a floor that does not stop as it continues from indoors to outdoors, or between indoor areas.

The pleasant naturalness of wood gradually migrates towards the practical functionality of stoneware, opening an uninterrupted dialogue between the sitting room and the terrace, the living areas and the kitchen or fireplace, the bedroom and the bathroom.

A synthesis of raw material, design and technology, the by Pininfarina novelty was greatly appreciated at the show for its fascinating aesthetics and the innate functional value of the new product that has, in actual fact, rewritten parquet history.

Moreover, as a result of the pandemic and having to do many daily activities at home, our way of experiencing living spaces has changed greatly: our relationship with our home has become more “intimate”, indeed the desire to let nature in and think about limitless spaces in a different way has become stronger.

The Miraggio Collection is a part of this interior design tendency – it takes its inspiration from nature and can be used to create relaxing atmospheres that come into contact with the environment, that send out essences of peace and wellbeing.

The Cave Project – Pininfarina

The natural character that shines through the forms and finishes of a Miraggio floor was expressed at best at The Cave, an outdoor spa and wellness concept created by Pininfarina as part of the Archincont(r)act initiative at Cersaie, and in which ten of the most influential architecture studios in the world took part.

The Cave imitated a cave, humankind’s ancestral refuge, a place to feel protected and in harmony with nature.

The installation, curated by Pininfarina, engaged visitors in an experience of sensorial wellbeing through the choice of surfaces and design finishes strongly tied to nature: among them, the Miraggio floor, with its geometric pattern inspired by natural elements, was integrated with stoneware modules produced by Laminam that recall reflections of water inside a cave.

Marmomac 2021 – Miraggio by Pininfarina

Last in order of presentation, but not importance, is Corà’s presence at Marmomac with the launch of the “luxury” version of the Miraggio by Pininfarina Collection: at the Savoia Marmi stand, parquet in prestigious essence of durmast was presented in combination with modules of contrasting noble marble.

More and more often, bedrooms in prestigious homes include a bath tub for a daily ritual of wellbeing: in these rooms, the Miraggio floor becomes important, both for its fluid, elegant aesthetics and also for the migration from wood to marble, a material that is especially appreciated in bathrooms and establishments dedicated to personal wellbeing.

After the success obtained at the trade shows, we look to the future with optimism. The Miraggio Collection is the first result of a long-term collaboration with Pininfarina Architecture, with both our companies sharing the same objective: to develop, over the next few years, a full range of products for indoors that offer an experience of living on a human scale.
